tara daniella mendanha!- little me

cookie! patli! these were the other names id been fondly called as a baby.. being the first grandchild to enter both households, i was showered with abundant love and attention. as u can see i was very photogenic;something i seemed to have lost over the years..(or so i believe) i have the fondest of memories of my grandparents house at baroda,( where this photo was taken) where i was dressed up in my uncle's and gramps' shoes and clothes. (don't ask me why. some kick they got out of it..) i was happy and carefree. i was a child of the world. a new story.
and then i grew up. and was faced with the harsh realities of the same world that had seemed so perfect to me once upon a time. conflicts, tough decisions, disappointments have made my world 'real'. i have also had my share of poignant moments; some that filled me with wonder.. and some that filled me with pure, unadulterated happiness.i am now a woman with a purpose. a personality chalked out by 22 years of everything the world has had to offer. and it's made me who i am today. as i look back on this photo of me as a child, i see myself now; not only to be more mature and knowledgeable; but just as fragile, and unique. and there's no other way i'd rather be. :)

Good! I loved the photograph - the pose, the oversized shoes :) You write well and should push yourself to go beyond generalities. Am looking forward to your self-portrait. - Ajay
