Aziza/Tara:
There is a clear attempt to “tell a story” displaying contrast in the photos…but it’s not clear.
Visually, the image with of the crow silhouette is interesting – moment in time, contrast by color and starkness, well captured. The top angle in the first one...what happens when one frames like this?

hey
I used the top angle in the woman and monkey photo basically because i wanted to capture the way her hand was positioned on her forehead which i was not being able to get in a normal front angle. To answer your question- the top angle makes the subject of the photo look small, meek or submissive. in this photo in particular it gives the air of exhaustion to the woman as contrasted to playful carelessness of the monkey.

Aziza:
the objectifying, looking down on still remains. What is your position? Sympathy/Empathy...or that didn't cross your mind when you were looking for "contrast"? What about the the act of being photographed - the subject and photographer equation? Besides, I don't see much of the "playful carelessness of the monkey".
Was she aware that she was being photographed? Of course, I am now straying away from "contrast" per se. But all things are connected! - Ajay
